Practical Knowledge for Urgent Cases in Paediatrics: 23-25th November 2026

- Improve your clinical skills on diagnosing and managing common, urgent paediatric cases in the UCC or the community.
Day 1 – Respiratory cases, Mental health, the vomiting child, Headache.
Day 2 – Child Safeguarding level 3, Neonatal urgencies, Dermatology and Allergy.
Day 3 – Chest pain, Back pain, Limp, and Common Paediatric injuries.
NOTE: We are also running Adult and Paediatric Basic Life support on Wednesday 25th November for interested individuals. This lasts 2 hours and will be at the same venue. See product options at checkout.
Intended audience: GPs, primary care clinicians, family medicine physicians.
*Course accredited by the CPD certification service. Paediatric course worth 30 CPD credits (18 lecture based, 12 for course guide material) and a further 2 CPD for BLS.
Who we are
Our course content is guided by the learning needs of urgent care and other frontline GPs and written and delivered by experienced specialists.
Too often lectures and educational talks by specialists are delivered without the target audience in mind. Our team of GPs and specialists work closely with each other in order to ensure content is relevant to GPs, being mindful of the lack of time and resources generally available when assessing patients.
With GPs guiding the content, we aim to deliver only the relevant information to improve your clinical effectiveness and efficiency in those tough scenarios.
Our Goal
GP in Practice was set up with the aim of improving the clinical skills and confidence of GPs and other frontline medical staff (e.g. ACPs, ANPs, PAs, clinical pharmacists), who face urgent and clinically complex cases with little more than their history and examination skills to guide them.
These GPs will often be situated in Urgent Care Centres, Walk-in centres, and in the community; in clinics and on home visits. Such environments demand critical decisions to be made in the absence of investigations, which if wrong, can lead to misdiagnoses, over or under-treatment, or overly defensive medicine.
What we do
We provide tailor-made courses delivered by specialists to help sharpen clinical histories and examinations to help frontline GPs make the right decisions. Enhancing knowledge in these areas through our courses will help to increase your confidence in these stressful situations; improving patient care, reducing unnecessary investigation and referral to A+E, and reducing practitioner anxiety.
